The publication is devoted to the broadly defined issues of identity and its shaping in the Middle Ages, as well as the relationships between identity and memory, various memory carriers, and mechanisms for building collective identities. The authors discuss methodological and theoretical problems related to research on memory and its carriers in the Middle Ages.
