The publication presents the role of future competences in the context of the development of the modern world, ubiquitous computerization and work automation. A special place was devoted to the role and ways of developing digital competences in school education from an early age. The book is the first publication functioning simultaneously in two spaces – traditional and virtual, because it was developed as an interactive publication integrated with the website being an extension of the book and giving access to practical examples developing the theoretical layer presented in the publication. The book presents the results of three author's research conducted in 2017–2018, as well as the opinions of experts, directors of educational institutions leading in the context of digitization in Poland, and students. The book is recommended to all those interested in the subject of future competences, development of digital competences, teachers, educators, students.
